First-Time Freshman

Thank you for your interest in living in the residence halls at S&T!

Incoming freshmen should follow these simple steps in assuring a housing assignment for the FALL Semester:

  1. Fill out your Housing Application and Agreement Form.
    • A link will be provided to complete this form online with your PRO registration. If you are planning on moving to any of our University-approved housing, you still need to complete this form. We will contact you with the appropriate information needed to accommodate those requests.
  2. Receive Information
    • If you've filled out your Housing Application before January, you will receive information in late January about the next steps you need to take on completing your housing registration. If you fill out the application after January, you will receive information within 2-4 weeks of applying with your next steps. The next steps will include information on your Housing Interest Form. Continue to step 3 for more information.
  3. Complete the Housing Interest Form.
    • This form guides us in matching roommates, personal preferences, and dining plan selections. Click here for step-by-step instructions and a link to fill out the Housing Interest Form online.
  4. Receive Housing Assignment

  5. Send In Your Meningococcal Vaccination Records
    • Complete your meningitis requirement per Missouri State Law754 section 174.335 - In order to live in university-approved housing, including fraternities, sororities, and Christian Campus House, a student must have received a meningococcal vaccine. Students who have a medical or religious issue and wish to seek an exemption of the requirement will need to apply for a waiver and have that application approved by Student Health Services. In order for a waiver to be granted, documentation must be submitted supporting the need for a waiver. For more information about Meningococcal Meningitis policy and infections, please refer to Student Health. You may contact Student Health Services with any questions at msths@mst.edu or 573-341-4284. Please note: Students will NOT be able to move into the residence hall until proof of the meningitis vaccination has been received and evaluated by Student Health OR a request for a waiver has been submitted and approved by Student Health.
