Activities and Expectations

The Future of Health Living Learning Community is designed for students who are curious about the many paths into health-related careers and want to explore opportunities beyond traditional majors. 

What to expect as a member of the Future of Health:

• Connect with professionals through guest speakers and seminars
• Take part in exclusive field trips to innovative healthcare organizations
• Gain firsthand insight into research opportunities, health and wellness career options, ethical questions in health, and the challenges to access and affordable healthcare faced by communities today

Expectations for students in this community:

• Regular attendance at meetings held every week.
• Meetings will be set on a schedule that works for the members of the community.
• Topics of meetings will include: problem identification, analysis of systems, shareholder identification, and guest speakers about innovation and leadership.
• Involvement with the project team weekly to support progress on the team’s identified year-long innovation project.
• Involvement with the industry tours and alumni engagement events offered, as schedules allow.
