Holistic Community

A holistic community is intended for students who have strong interest in personal wellness.  These students integrate the needs of body, mind, and spirit and prefer to live with students who have similar goals.  Missouri S&T's Holistic Community members strive to maintain balanced, healthy lives by focusing on key wellness dimensions, including: physical, intellectual, emotional, spiritual, social, vocational, and environmental.  The Holistic Community is located in Holtman Hall (Holtman 8) within the Quadrangle Complex. There are three holistic floors, with roughly 16 students on each floor.

Holistic community students sign a Holistic Contract (included in the Housing Interest Form) which includes agreeing to:

  • living a lifestyle centered on wellness concepts
  • supporting floor members in their attempt to live a healthier life
  • actively supporting and contributing to the welfare of the community

Community members agree to refrain from any activities that involved tobacco, alcohol, or controlled substance use. In addition, in this quiet community, there are limitations on the type and nature of materials that are displayed in hallways and common areas.

Interested in joining the joining the Holistic Community?  Complete the Housing Interest Form and the Holistic Contract and return to the Residential Life Department by the deadline.
